Griffin says she wants to set the record straight - her shows were cancelled because of 'fake bomb threats', not because her 'fans wanted their money back'. Venues started cancelling these shows due to the threats, which she said turned out to be 'robo calls'. Griffin had several upcoming events which started receiving bomb threats. She says the FBI came to her, saying some of the threats were credible. With both the president and first lady against her, Griffin said the 'death threats were coming it an at a rate we couldn't keep up with'. Soon, the first lady weighed in on the photo herself, issuing a tweet that called the image 'disturbing' and questioned Griffin's mental health. 'No other president in modern times has used his power this way and that's why I keep speaking out about this,' she wrote Griffin said it was her 'first amendment right to put out' the images' and that it was 'plain wrong for the President of the United States to use his power to come after me or anyone else he is offended by'. In his first comment on the matter, Trump said that Griffin 'should be ashamed of herself' and that his 11-year-old son was 'having a hard time with this. That was, until Trump tweeted about it the next morning. Griffin says after taking down it down and issuing a video apology, the negative reactions died down overnight.
